Beauty and the Beast Live Action Film Was Magical

Kamryn Geise, Staff Writer

Beauty and the Beast is a great live-action Disney film. This film was directed by Bill Condon and some of the cast are: Emma Watson (Belle), Dan Stevens (Beast), Luke Evans (Gaston), Josh Gad (LeFou), Ewan McGregor (Lumiere), Ian McKellan (Clocksworth), Emma Thompson (Ms.Potts), and Nathan Mack (Chip).

This movie takes place in France in a small village with a girl named Belle who is the only young woman in her village who reads. Everyone finds her strange because she hates small village life and isn’t looking for just any suitor to marry. She is fascinated by books and the reason why everyone is so upset that she can read is that they cannot read. A man named Gaston is very fond of Belle and plans to marry her soon, but she doesn’t like him and can’t imagine herself with someone who says that she is the only one as gorgeous as himself.

Belle’s father goes to the trade center and decides to take a different path from the regular that has been blocked by a storm. He stumbles his way past the hungry wolves and up to a beautiful castle. The enchanted castle scares him off into the woods, right before he reached the edge of the woods he picked a rose for Belle which got him thrown in the dungeon as a prisoner for life. Now, Belle has to save him.

As you can imagine this movie is a beautifully constructed piece of film. Disney has done it again, the actors who play the characters melt our heats with such love and emotion. This movie is hopefully going to have a sequel (mentioned by Emma Watson who plays Belle).
