Halloween is on October 31st every year and this year it’s on a Thursday. Halloween is a day were lots of people dress up, go out, knock on people’s doors, and ask “trick or treat.” Then they get candy or a little toy, but mostly candy. Some people stay home and watch movies. Some go to parties. Some decorate their yards and neighbors may have competitions to see who can decorate their yard the scariest. Some people tell ghost stories around a fire and others may tell stories inside their homes. People travel to see relatives that don’t live close to them, or their relatives come to visit them on Halloween. some times there are big events going on, like parties. You could go to a haunted house. Some people carve faces into pumpkins and light them with a candle on the inside of the pumpkin and put them on their doorstep or on window sills.

You go to pumpkin patches to get the best pumpkin big or small that’s your choice. Picking the best pumpkin is a hard job for some people. You could get a really small pumpkin or you could get a big pumpkin, that’s up to you. You could color your pumpkin with markers or paint. You could carve it too and put a candle inside. You could grow your pumpkins or go to a pumpkin patch to get one. You could get more than one pumpkin or you could only get one.

You could go to lots of different events like a haunted house or go to a Halloween party with friends there are also lots of festivals you could go to. There are lots of things to do on Halloween you could watch a movie that’s scary or not scary, it’s your choice have a good Halloween.
