Christmas

I was so excited for Christmas. It is the time where you get presents and spend time with your family that you haven’t seen. I knew that I was going to get something big for Christmas and it would be unforgettable. This would be the Christmas I would not forget.

My name is Brooklyn but I go by Brook. I have an older brother named Luke but we will get to him in a second. I love Christmas. It has been my favorite holiday ever since I was little. I have always gotten little kid things, but know that I am twelve , I am going to ask for more interesting stuff. My brother Luke doesn’t believe in Christmas because he has never seen a reindeer before. Just because you have never seen a reindeer before doesn’t mean you don’t believe in Christmas. He just wants to be a cool kid and fit in with the kids.

Our family has not had a pet for 4 years. The last pet we had was a cat. We had to get rid of the cat because supposedly my dad was allergic to cat fur. (He just didn’t want a cat). Luke and I were going to ask for a dog together. We are thinking that if we do then we will get one.But then we remembered that we had to pick up after it. Now knowing me , I can not handle the smell of a dog’s waste. It always makes me gag. But I can handle it if we do get a dog.

It came around to Christmas Eve and me and my brother could not handle it. We needed to know if we were going to get a dog or not. But we had to go around to our families houses to get more presents. We got back home and went to bed. We couldn’t go to bed because we were so excited.

The next morning we got up and opened our Christmas presents from our parents. We didn’t see anything that would be an animal inside. My mom and dad went to our bassment to get something. We were hoping for a puppy.he had a box that said welcome to your new home. But what really stumped us was that it was a toy dog. We were really mad that we didn’t get a dog because we really wanted one. Then my mom comes up with a box that says actually welcome to your new home. Luke opened the box and said there was a real dog. We were so excited.

We decided to name her rose because she was a golden receiver and it fit her really well. She was the love of my life.Luke and I adore her so much. We hope she has the best life.
