This Year’s Upcoming Movies

Roseburg Cinemas upcoming movies include comedy, horror, family, and action.  This year’s upcoming movies include some movies that may require parental permission.

The comedies include: Almost Christmas (PG-13): in theaters Nov.11, 2016.  It is about a dysfunctional family that gathers together for their first Thanksgiving since their mom died.  Another comedy is The Magnificent Seven (PG-13): which will be released on Nov.23, 2016. It’s about how seven gun men in the old west gradually come together to help a poor village against savage thieves. One more comedy is Kevin Hart: What Now (R) Nov.14, 2016 it’s about a comedian (Kevin Hart) that preforms in front of a crowd of 50,000 people at Philadelphia’s outdoor venue, Lincoln Financial Field.

Horror movies include: Amityville: The Awakening (R) premiering Jan.6, 2017, in which a single mother moves her three children into a haunted house not knowing of its bloody history.  Rings (not rated yet): comes out on Oct.28, 2016, in third film of ring franchise The Ring 3, Samara returns with a familiar videotape to strike terror again.

If you want to see an action movie check out:  A Monster Calls (PG-13), released on Jan.6, 2017. In it a boy seeks the help of a tree monster to cope with his mother’s terminal illness. The Space Between Us (PG-13): coming out on Dec.21, 2016. In this movie, a young man raised by a scientist on mars returns to earth to find his father. In Wonder Woman (PG-13), released on June 2, 2016, an Amazon princess leaves her island home to explore the world and becomes the greatest of its heroes.

Finally, family movies include, A Dog’s Purpose which will be released on January 6, 2017. In this movie, a dog looks to discover his purpose in life over the course of several life times and owners.
