Winston is getting a makeover! There is going to be a new place called “The Elephant’s Walk,” and it will be located by the buildings known as “The Old West Building” and “Cheetah Junction.”

Those buildings will stay there and be renovated, while the rest of the property will be turned into small retail shops, a greenspace with a large courtyard, pedestrian walkways, and the rest will be filled with parking lots and pavements.

The project’s goal is to “transform what is currently a blighted area adjacent to our small town’s one stoplight into a beacon for our community. It will attract many of the hundreds of thousands of visitors who pass through Winston each year…” as said on their website. “It will be a space that Winston residents can be proud to call their own.”
