Brendon Urie

Brendon Urie is a singer, songwriter and musician for the band Panic! at the Disco. He is 29 years old and was born in St. George, Utah in April 12, 1987. In high school, Brendon met Brent Wilson in his guitar class, which led him to join Panic. He used to be a backup singer for the band but after hearing him sing, they decided to make him lead vocalist. Besides being an amazing singer, Brendon can play guitar, keyboards, drums and bass guitar.

When Brendon first joined the band, he worked at a smoothie café to pay for the bands rent. Sometimes he would sing for costumers. In an interview, he said, “I would sing anything I was listening to at the time, but I was down to take requests. I remember singing some Scorpions songs, some W.A.S.P. 80s anthems are usually good for tips. It was a huge range of stuff. Some people liked it, and some people didn’t. I had to respect other people’s wishes, but I had a couple people come in who would ask me to sing for a tip. That’s always fun.”

Brendon has a four-octave tenor vocal range which explains why many people say his voice is very substantial and, in my opinion, beautiful. Brendon’s most recent album, “Death of a Bachelor” was released in January 15, 2016 and is lyrically inspired by Brendon’s wife. He said in an interview that he wrote the whole album at his house and that it reflects a lot on his lifestyle he was living while writing it.

Brendon currently lives in Las Vegas, Nevada with his wife Sarah Urie and his two dogs Penny and Bogart. If you haven’t heard his music yet, I think you should check it out because I like it a lot.
