Song Joong Ki is a South Korean actor from Daejoon, South Korea. He was born September 19, 1985 making his international age 31 years old. He became well known after getting a role in the drama Sungkyunkwan Scandal. He played the role as Gu YongHa, a rich yet adorable man. Joong Ki is known to be one of the smartest actors in South Korea. He scored 380 points out of 400 on his national college entrance exam. He was first seen as a contestant for the show Quiz Korea. He won second place and somehow ended up on cover of the magazine College.
He made his debut in 2008 with the film A Frozen Flower. After that year, he continued getting casted in multiple films and dramas. Though his roles weren’t the lead he still got the attention of the fans. He became the host of Music Bank from 2009 to 2010. He then became part of the main cast in a popular variety show called Running Man. Later on that year, he released a book (Beautiful Skin Project) about health and beauty guide for men.
In 2012 he played the leading role in the movie called, A Werewolf Boy. It’s about a boy and a girl who become really good friends, but the boy apparently was a werewolf. In the same year, he landed the lead role for the drama, The Innocent Man. On August 27, 2013 he was enlisted in the military, about 2 years later he was discharged.
When he came back from the military, he had made a comeback with the drama Descendants of the Sun. The drama revolved around a soldier and a doctor being in a relationship. Their relationship isn’t like any other normal relationship. The drama had an incredible response from the fans. The drama won multiple daesangs (grand prizes/awards) along with the actors and actresses. His popularity had grown so much since debut, I hope you’ll get a chance to watch him.
