Have you heard of a pet so curious and rambunctious that love trouble more than anything? Ferrets or carpet sharks are one those rowdy and fun pets to have. They come in all sorts of colorful furs and are interesting enough are a form of European polecat, a mammal that resembles the average wild weasel or their cousins the badger. These small carpet sharks love to sleep during the day and be playful all night doing sneaky war dances and knocking over any cup in sight while rumors spread to be the most stinky pet to own?

· What is a ferret?

A ferret is a Genus Mustela this means they are meat eaters and part of the weasel family. There 50cm including a 13-cm tail its long and slender body that comes in 8 basic species of ferrets and multiple of patterns and furs. Usually an average ferret comes in the normal black, brown, white fur, they consider these cinnamon ferrets. There lifespan goes up to 7-9 years however ferrets are known for getting diseases and likely kidney stones.

· Laws to owning a ferret

In some places like Hawaii, Washington DC, and New York city it’s legal to own a ferret as a pet there for its said that if a ferret got out in the wild it would mess the hole eco system if involving with another wild species that may or may not relate. Another issue is if one goes wild it can carry an illness that can spread to other animals like livestock which could affect human. The many other states including Oregon it’s illegal to own a ferret as pet if there not fixed and don’t have their shots its legal unless you have a breeder’s license.

· Genders and babies

Genders of Carpet sharks are one of things that makes a difference take my house for a granted example I have only owned one female ferret and she was sweetheart to us but really aggressive to are first male ferret. So, we had to get rid of her sadly now on mom and I agreed on only male ferrets. My ferret doesn’t mean all females are aggressive to male’s, truth is both grew up not around other ferrets so the math of new invader could get you jealous of sharing your territory and owners. Wouldn’t you understand? Most spayed females tend to be more stinky then gib males some would say otherwise, others like me would agree those rumors are true.

Did you know when a baby ferret is born it could fit inside a teaspoon? Adorable right! Kits come out wearing plain white fur but will soon become or stay the colors of their parents. Unsprayed female is called “Jill” while a spayed female is a “Sprite.” An intact male is called a “Hob” and nurtured male is a “Gib” and Babies are “Kits” according to Dr. Foster & Smith.

· Types of ferrets and fur

Ferrets come in many species and coloration they form 8 basic species that can be rarer than others, according to Pets4homes there species scientific name is Mustela Putorius Furo. There are rare species like the Angora which are a form of fluffiest ferrets they can’t be seen in the united states but are huge thing in places like England who use them for pets and other reasons like hunting. There’s common colors and fur patterns that arrange like…

As you can see ferrets are alluring and spunky little balls of mischief! And are delightful pets, I believe from each and every complex of fur types and the little well-known war dance that, you can well call a happy dance. Since ferrets are long and slender when they get exited they arch there back and jump around on side winding motion kind of like a snake. Enough of interesting facts and back to the conclusion, these slithering sneaky carpet sharks are splendid little devils and they well know it!
