The human heart is a very interesting topic. The heart is a muscular organ in humans and other animals which pumps blood through the blood vessels of the circulatory system. Did you know that blood provides the body with oxygen and nutrients? Blood also helps remove metabolic waste. Your heart is located between the lungs in the middle compartment of your chest.
A stethoscope is an acoustic medical device that is used to listen to your heartbeat. When you go to the doctor, you usually see a stethoscope around the doctor’s neck which they use to listen to your heartbeat. Now you know what the thing around your doctor’s neck is.
Did you know that your heart is about the size of a large fist? According to Live Science, your heart weighs between 10 to 12 ounces in men and 8 to 10 ounces in women. Your heartbeats 100,000 times a day and 60 to 80 times per minute. But newborns hearts beat faster, it can be 70 to 160 times per minute.
In my opinion, the heart is really cool. I like learning about the human body and learning about what they do and what their specific job is. It is pretty amazing. The heart is a pretty cool topic and what it does is really interesting.
