Social media star, Logan Paul, is receiving hate after posting a video in the Japanese “Suicide Forest.” In the video Paul and his friends spot a dead body hanging from a tree in the forest. One of Paul’s friends says, “Bring the camera, let’s go.” They do bring the camera, in doing so he’s setting up something that he will eventually greatly regret. Paul takes the camera and gets close up video of the victim. He stands next to man and then says, “Ever stood next to a dead body before?” Then Paul and his friends make jokes right after he tells the audience about how suicide is not a joke and that someone is there for them. This video made almost the whole media flip out on Logan Paul.

Logan Paul was almost the biggest social media star in 2017, he even made a video titled, “Why 2017 was the Best Year of my Life.” He didn’t realize that on the last day of 2017 he would make the worst mistake of his career. After he posted to video of him in the suicide forest popular actors tweeted at Logan. One of the actors, Aaron Paul, tweeted this at Logan,

How dare you! You disgust me. I can’t believe that so many young people look up to you. So sad. Hopefully this latest video woke them up. You are pure trash. Plain and Simple. Suicide is not a joke. Go rot in hell.

On January 18, 2018, TMZ posted a video of Logan Paul. In the video one of TMZ’s interviewers asked Paul if he thought that he deserved a second chance. Paul replied saying, “Everyone deserves a second chance, bro.” So now we know that Logan Paul thinks that he deserves a second chance. On January 24, 2018, Paul posted a video returning from his 3-week break. In the video he talks to a suicide victim. The victim’s name is Kevin Hines, in the video he tells Paul how he jumped from the Golden Gate Bridge and survived to tell his story. In the video Paul also goes to advocates for suicide prevention and talks to them on how he can prevent it. At the end of the video Logan Paul pledges to donate one million dollars to preventing suicide.

Long story short, Logan Paul made a great mistake that he will remember for the rest of his life. His mistake was very insensitive and I hope that Paul learns from his mistake. Honestly this mistake made me not watch his videos anymore and I used to watch them every day. But that’s just my own opinion. What’s your opinion on Logan Paul?
